About
My training began at John F. Kennedy University, where I received a masters in transpersonal counseling. I then interned at the Women’s Therapy Center – the Bay Area’s leading training facility for relational psychotherapy – as well as Albany High School.
I became interested in and built a specialization in psycho oncology while serving as Manager of the Psychotherapy Programs at the Women’s Cancer Resource Center in Berkeley, CA. In that role I helped countless women find psychological care, coordinated a no-cost, brief therapy program for low-income women with cancer and couples facing cancer; managed a group psychotherapy program; facilitated two support groups for women with cancer; and co-created a psycho-oncology continuing education program that instructed the mental health community about death, dying, chronic and acute illness.
After becoming a mother I became interested in perinatal mental health. That interest led me to co-found Marin Perinatal Therapy with my colleagues Shannon Myers, LMFT and Margot Kirschner PsyD. We provide psychotherapy and direct support for Marin’s perinatal women and families. We also provide resources, training and consultation to the perinatal medical and therapeutic community.
In 2024, I started Big Life Change Therapy, a group practice focussing on life transitions and helping Californian’s through all of life’s ups and downs and an incubator for emerging private practices. The Big Life Change team is passionate about helping therapists-in-training develop into confident clinicians and successful business owners. We focus on equipping associates with real-world skills and mentorship for running a private practice.
